Black and Tan German Shepherd Dog Mix
Age: About 1 year and 2 months old
Weight: 51 pounds
Zoey has been in foster care now for nearly 6 long months and is growing tired of the confinements of her crate even with several outside opportunities to potty and play.
She is longing for a committed owner that is experienced with insecure dogs who will continue to work on building her confidence.
Zoey may do best in a home with an older balanced dog to show her the ropes and make her feel comfortable.
Zoey has always been tolerant of new fosters but will reprimand a pushy one.
Zoey has a moderate energy level and would be a great companion for a person who enjoys hiking through wooded trails or long brisk walks in a quiet neighborhood.
Zoey’s best chance of success is adequate exercise along with knowledge of insecure tendencies and how to rehabilitate.
An active person or couple with another stable well balanced dog may be a good match. Also, empty nesters looking for another role this time in a dog’s life may also be the right fit.
If you are looking to make a difference, Zoey is definitely worth your efforts. She is very loving to her people and will be completely devoted.
